Anomalies
On Tamurt, certain cosmic and biological anomalies completely escape the known laws of the sitrien system. Unexplained variations of the flux, local disturbances, as well as impossible modifications observed in certain life forms seem to surpass even the field of action of the Hunis, who are nevertheless considered the natural intermediaries of the structuring forces of Vaïluvah.
In the most sensitive regions of the planet, these phenomena give the impression of a will of their own, as if Vaïluvah itself exerted a diffuse intention through matter, time, and the flux. Some areas seem to respond, adjust, or resist, as if guided by a logic that goes beyond any scientific understanding. However, on Tamurt, no official interpretation acknowledges this view. The same events are reinterpreted according to local cultures and beliefs: for some, they are a mischief of Naïhuni, for others a blessing of Maïhuni, while others still see them as signs linked to their own personal traditions.
Thus, the anomalies remain both omnipresent and profoundly indecipherable, oscillating between science, myth, and interpretation.
Yaqẓa
The Yaqẓa refers to a supernatural mental awakening, a mutation of perception that opens the psyche to dimensions the ordinary human mind cannot reach. It is neither an art nor a form of flux; it is an intrinsic transformation of consciousness that pierces the fragile membrane separating the mind from the invisible world. Individuals affected by this awakening are called Yaqiẓ. Their minds become more lucid and attentive but also more vulnerable. This opening is not controlled: it imposes itself upon the individual, sometimes violently, and can weaken reason. There are no physical signs by which a Yaqiẓ can be identified, except for their gaze, which often betrays a constant alertness, as if they were always perceiving more than what is visible.
The awakening of Yaqẓa can occur in two ways. It may be traumatic, triggered by an extreme emotional or cognitive shock that forces the mind open. It can also be linked to neuroatypia, as certain mental structures make consciousness more permeable from the outset. Once awakened, Yaqẓa manifests naturally and independently of the Yaqiẓ’s will. Psychic abilities emerge without conscious control, involuntarily, occasionally at opportune moments, but usually not. These manifestations remain significantly diminished and take the form of psychic aptitudes such as psychokinesis, telepathy, psychometry, clairvoyance, precognition, or astral projection. Most Yaqiẓ access only one or two of these abilities; exceeding three is exceptional. The strength of Yaqẓa varies greatly between individuals and fluctuates throughout life. A Yaqiẓ may go through periods of extreme sensitivity, during which perception expands, followed by phases of attenuation where their abilities are nearly dormant.
The true danger of Yaqẓa appears when an individual attempts to force the voluntary use of these abilities. Unlike natural manifestations, conscious activation damages the psyche, affects the brain, and directly interferes with the flux. The more Yaqẓa is used deliberately, the more access to flux deteriorates, potentially leading to a complete severance. The consequences are severe: mental overload, chronic anxiety, sleep disorders, hallucinations, dissociation, fragmentation of the perception of reality, profound psychic exhaustion, and acute crises. In extreme cases, this can result in lasting conditions such as schizophrenia, psychopathy, or long-term Alzheimer’s disease. Yaqẓa is therefore regarded as a neutral but unstable phenomenon: an awakening that illuminates the mind without asking permission and which, when one tries to master it, can consume those to whom it has been revealed.
Yaqẓa comes from Arabic, meaning “awakening,” and Yaqiẓ means “awakened.” The ẓ indicates a pronunciation close to the English th.

Emerald Blood
Emerald Blood refers to a rare, innate condition present in certain individuals from birth. It is a profound alteration of flus: instead of remaining invisible and potentially mobilizable through training, the flus materializes directly within the body and completely replaces blood. The conventional circulatory system is thus substituted by a network of physical flus flowing through the veins. This substance is more fluid and less viscous than human blood, and is distinguished by a vivid emerald-green color that is immediately recognizable. This alteration is also visible in the eyes, whose irises adopt the same emerald hue, a clear identifying trait of affected individuals. Despite its name, Emerald Blood is neither a disease nor a voluntary blessing: it is an irreversible biological and energetic state.
The effects of Emerald Blood are radical. Bearers are entirely incapable of using flux: no conscious manipulation of energy is possible. In exchange, their bodies naturally reach a superhuman physical level, without training or deliberate effort. Their strength far exceeds human limits, their robustness rivals bulletproof metals, their speed surpasses normal biological thresholds, and all of their senses are extraordinarily sharpened. Their metabolism is optimised, recovery is accelerated, and their lifespan is significantly extended. Although a physical flus flows through their veins, their disconnection from the flux prevents them from perceiving it; however, it also protects them from its direct effects. This condition represents a form of extreme physical evolution, transforming the human into a natural predator perfectly adapted to survival and combat. For this reason, they are commonly referred to as “Emerald Blood carriers”, a term reflecting the tension between energetic incapacity and overwhelming physical superiority.

Tuznae
Tuznaes designate an extremely rare anomaly-mark of Tamurt, from the hunnique word tuzna meaning “transmission”. A tuznae is not a thing in itself, but a black symbolic inscription, similar to a tattoo, appearing on matter, objects, or living beings. This mark is always recognizable by its consistent style, although no pattern has ever been fully deciphered. Scientists of Tamurt have identified fragments of hunnique and tutlayt language within it, without understanding its logic.
LaThe thing carrying the mark is called an host, or host of tuznae. The host can be of any nature: food, manufactured object, resource, living organism, or even artificial structure. In extreme cases, even complex inanimate objects can become hosts of a tuznae. However, a host of tuznae shows no particular effect from the emblem it bears.
However, each tuznae contains a dormant capacity, sometimes called a transmission potential. When a host is consumed or assimilated by a compatible individual, that individual becomes an assimilator. Assimilation can take many forms (ingestion, prolonged contact, material or biological absorption), as long as the tuznae “recognizes” the process as valid.
If transmission succeeds, the assimilator inherits the capacity contained within the tuznae. In some cases, this capacity remains inactive for several weeks until full assimilation occurs, turning the individual into a tuznae user, meaning an assimilator who has awakened and stabilized the inherited ability.
Tuznaes seem to possess a form of intent or active selection. Some individuals attempting to assimilate a marked host receive nothing, for no apparent reason. In such cases, the mark may persist on the object or organism, or temporarily disappear before reappearing elsewhere in the environment, as if the tuznae had refused the assimilation.
Scientists of Tamurt have attempted to classify tuznaes using a functional system inspired by ancient studies of flux anomalies. This classification does not reflect their true functioning, but only the similar effects observed in users.
Similisi
The Similis type grants users a “superhuman” capacity, either by modifying their body or allowing them to alter their environment. They represent the most diverse category, often appearing as a “catch-all” type: while vitaesi allow transformation into animals and naturali into natural elements, Similis cover a vast range of unusual abilities.
They can be exploited in many ways, with attack styles and strategies depending heavily on the user.
Body modifications
The body can adopt the properties of a material (rubber, steel, diamond, etc.) or an object (scissors, springs, etc.) or gain a special ability (fragmentation, invisibility, etc.). Some tuznaes permanently alter the assimilator’s physical composition.
Environmental control
They allow modification of the environment or anything touched, applying abnormal effects to objects, living beings, or entire areas. This includes slowing, moving, transforming, turning invisible, or altering properties of things such as shadows, objects, or bodies.
Substance creation
They allow the creation of specific materials (threads, biscuits, poison, copies of body parts, etc.) or artificial substances with unique properties impossible in nature. Some also generate immaterial forces such as gravity or shockwaves.
Viteasi
Vitaesi are tuznaes that allow the user to transform into a living being, animal, plant, or hybrid creature, either temporarily or permanently with no reversal possible. Vitaesi are divided into two main types based on the nature of transformation.
Reality vitaesi allow transformation into existing life forms on Tamurt: animals, plants, or known organisms.
Imaginary vitaesi correspond to extinct, unknown, or mythological species from Tamurt’s legends. Their abilities often go beyond biological laws and seem to follow a symbolic rather than natural logic.
These mythical Vitaesi support a major scientific hypothesis: they may be linked to the Souls' Pantheon.
Naturali
The Naturalis type grants the power to produce, become, and control a natural element at will. Physical attacks become ineffective: bullets, weapons, punches, and kicks pass through the body. Without flux, they cannot be harmed, except in the case of solid elements. Naturalis such as stone or ice. Naturalis tuznaes are considered among the most powerful and rarest types. A user fighting against an opposing element is placed at a significant disadvantage.

Halos
The Halos are an extremely rare metaphysical anomaly, associated with a form of ascension that neither the sciences of the flux nor the hunnic traditions are capable of explaining. Unlike the other known anomalies of Tamurt, a Halo does not directly alter the body, the mind, or matter itself; instead, it appears to distort the very relationship between an individual and the world surrounding them. Individuals affected by this phenomenon are sometimes referred to as saints, although no official designation has ever truly reached consensus.
The anomaly manifests through the appearance of an immaterial colored structure suspended above the bearer’s head, resembling a distorted crown composed of long luminous spikes connected by an unstable substance reminiscent of glass, blood, and light simultaneously. The presence of a Halo is almost always accompanied by a sensation of diffuse pressure spreading through the surrounding environment. Unlike conventional manifestations of the flux, the effects of a Halo follow no identifiable logic. Wounds may disappear spontaneously, while inert materials distort themselves without any apparent physical cause.
These phenomena remain impossible to study reliably, as testimonies constantly contradict one another. Several ancient accounts describe an inability to precisely recount the events that occurred around a Halo, as though the phenomenon itself interfered directly with human perception and memory.
The origin of the Halos remains entirely unknown. No ritual, no manipulation of the flux, and no hunnic intervention has ever succeeded in provoking or reproducing the phenomenon. Historians estimate that only two authentic cases may have existed throughout the entirety of Tamurt’s known history, somewhere between −3,760 and −2,800 before Aluy.
The first case is believed to be linked to a witch whose true identity has been lost for centuries. The few surviving texts describe her as a woman banished from the High-Kingdom of Darvallon after refusing to serve the kingdom and rejecting its so-called “divine” mission, the very mission that Saint Karmen would later accept. Above her head manifested a black Halo marked with pale purple reflections. Several accounts claim that entire areas seemed to react to her mere presence, while living beings developed abnormal behaviors after coming into contact with her.
The second case concerns Karmen Yamane, later known as Saint Karmen, a former knight of the High-Kingdom of Darvallon before its fall around −2,600 before Aluy. Long before the expansion of hunnism, Karmen was already regarded as a sacred figure by Darvallon’s dominant monotheistic religion following the manifestation of her Halo. Surviving chronicles describe the sudden appearance of a motionless red crown above her head, accompanied by a sensation of unreal calm and an abnormally immense atmospheric pressure surrounding her.
Over time, hunnism reinterpreted the Halos as a possible blessing of the Hunis, transforming saint Karmen into a major religious figure. However, no evidence has ever confirmed this interpretation. Some peoples view the Halos as sacred manifestations of the Hunis, others as divine signs tied to their own religious doctrines, while certain scholars simply consider them an unknown form of flux disturbance. Thus, despite the passing centuries, the Halos remain above all a profoundly indecipherable phenomenon, suspended somewhere between myth, faith, and speculation.
